FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you family owned?

Yes! The owners are Matthew and Morgan Andrews.

  • How do I become a new patient?

This only takes about five minutes.  Call or stop by the pharmacy and we will set up a new patient profile.  Our pharmacist will then call your previous pharmacy and get your prescriptions transferred.  You will then call us when you need a medication filled.

  • Where do you deliver?

Anywhere in Jefferson and Bullitt County, and parts of Oldham and Spencer County. We also deliver to Mt. Washington and Sheperdsville on Monday and Thursday.

  • Do you deliver on the same day?

All deliveries are next day, except for prescriptions such as antibiotics and pain medicines that a physician calls in on the same day.

  • Can you tell me exactly when my prescriptions will be delivered?

No, our drivers have many deliveries every day and they create their routes daily based on the deliveries for that day.  However, we can put a note on your profile and have the driver Call Before Delivery so that you know when they are on their way.

  • Can I leave a credit card on my profile?

Yes, you can and cards are safely and securely stored in our computer system.  For deliveries, this allows us to charge your card before it leaves the store, simplifying the delivery process, and if you are picking up your prescriptions, we can also use the card of file.

  • Can I tip the driver?

Yes! Though it is not required or necessary, our delivery drivers are pretty amazing people and they definitely appreciate your tips!  You can give it to them directly or if you choose to tip regularly, you can leave a note on your profile and we will attach that to the delivery.

  • When I use the automated system to call in my medications, what does it mean when it says the prescription is on hold?

This usually means that you have used an old set of prescription numbers.  Every time your doctor calls in a new batch of refills, the new batch gets assigned a new set of numbers.  If this happens, please give us a call at the pharmacy and we will be happy to assist you or you can download our app to be able to see all of your new prescription numbers.

  • Do you have a drive thru?

Yes, it is located at the back of the building.

  • Can you line up my medications to be ready at the same time?

Yes, many of our patients use our med sync service for their convenience.  Please see our Services page for more information and to learn about all the patient benefits of this service!

  • Can you deliver Over The Counter items?

Yes, we have many OTC items in our store, such as ibuprofen, allergy medicine, cough drops, bandaids and more.  However, we only deliver these OTC items with prescriptions so be sure to call them in at the same time.

  • What do I do if I am out of refills on my prescription?

Please call the pharmacy and we can send a request to your doctor.  It is best to do this a few days before you are out of your medication, so that you don't run out of your medication.

  • Do you give flu shots and other vaccines?

Yes. Please see our Andrews Medical page for more information on this.

  • Do you offer any testing?

Yes, we offer flu, covid, and strep testing.  We bill insurance for testing and you receive your results within minutes.  Please see our Andrews Medical page for more information on this.

  • Are you a specialty pharmacy?

Well, we are a pretty special pharmacy but we are considered a retail pharmacy, where we fill medications in bottles and process insurance just like all other retail pharmacies.  We also offer compounding and packaging options to better serve our patients needing those.
